About this event
My long kayak is complaining of criminal neglect, so I'm going to dust it off and move my bag of kayaking goodies into it for this little adventure.
This is a survey trip with the Diamond Lakes Arkansas Master Naturalist (DLAMN - https://arkansasmasternaturalists.org) nature group.
It will be sunny and start out at a very pleasant 73 degF, and then it will warm up to 88 degF as we get into the afternoon.
Bring kayak, PFD, paddle, snacks, water and sun protection (hat, long-sleeved shirt, sunscreen, etc.).
Hot dogs will be provided for lunch on the island.
Meet at the Dollar General on Mt. Pine Rd. and Blacksnake Rd at 8:35 AM to caravan to the private dock at the end of Lake Ouachita Trail (about 2 miles north of Blakely Mountain Dam on the east shore).
