What is this?
This is an interesting section of the Brazos, and in the neighborhood for many of us. It does show the impacts of suburban development as well as oil and gas E&P. This section usually scales at roughly 28.5 miles. There are no unusual hazards in this section, other than a few poorly executed erosion control/bank stabilization projects and a bit of exposed pipeline. This segment does go past the back side of Brazos Bend SP and can be quite birdy.
The put in requires a bit of a walk but is pretty easy once you're there. The take out is tough.
