The plan is to paddle north from the launch ramp and explore the more remote areas of the Oak Bower shoreline, then continue south-southwest to the islands and find a good beach to stop and have lunch.

About 6-8 miles, depending on exploration detours.

HAZARDS:
Heat is the main concern
Others are the usual wasps, cottonmouths, copperheads, and drowning

BRING:
Kayak, paddle, PFD

Also recommended are:
Lunch/snack/water
Sun protection (long-sleeved shirt, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, gloves, etc.)
