A 23.3 mile trip on the Brazos from San Felipe to Simonton. This run has a moderate put in and a pretty tough take out. <br /><br />It also has four small rapids in the first six miles and some fairly interesting geology. The rapids are class 1-2 stuff and not a real danger, but people have been known to fall out of their boats in them. Birding should be interesting. since shorebirds are moving and a number of species are doing the post breeding dispersal inland, prior to migration.<br /><br />We will meet at FM 1093 and the Brazos and shuttle up to FM 1458 to launch.
