A look at the second leg of the LR 50 race. This one will start from the Pickett's Bayou boat ramp at TRNWR. We will go down Pickett's Bayou to the Cutoff, up the Cutoff to Lost River, down Lost River to just below I-10, along I-10 to Old River and then up Old River to Dead Hog Launch, at FM 1409. The distance on this leg is roughly 19.5 miles. It is primarily through the swamps of the Trinity Delta, with a brief exposure to the open water of some of the tidal legs and relic channels of the Trinity. This is a great way to learn the race course for a nice mid-distance race.
