About this event
This part of the Caddo River maintains your attention, but is not hazardous. It has retained enough of its remote charms to remain scenic and picturesque. Water quality is good to excellent - clean and unpolluted. I'm hoping the fall colors are still in play at the time we paddle this little stretch.
The flow from Norman to Caddo Gap (the first 7 miles) is considered seasonal, so we'll have to see what it's doing when the time comes. If this segment is looking good, we'll paddle from Norman to Glenwood (15.8 miles). If not, we'll paddle from Caddo Gap to the highway crossing just north of Amity (14.4 miles), or Old Highway 84 (22 miles).
