Mac Bayou and Mac Lake

Venture from Cedar Hill Park across Lake Charlotte and into the shaded channel of Mac Bayou to Mac Lake. Side channels of Secret Bayou and Secret Lake; Sulfur Cut, maybe even a peek at the Trinity River may be explored. Paddle route depends on wind, weather, and water level. Our on-the-water guide and co-trip-coordinator Joe Coker will not lead you astray.Despite the prevailing shade, it will likely be hot out there so come prepared for sun and heat with plenty of water and hydration supplies. Bring a lunch which we may have to eat in our boats. It's always a beautiful paddle out there on the bayou. A $10 event fee will be required of participants who are not American Canoe Association members.
