About this event
This will be an easy paddle (as always) with a back-to-back out-and-back feature on the San Bernard "River" (very bayou-like flatwater in this segment). We will head south until we cannot conveniently proceed, and come back, taking in the fall colors, snapping photos, and stopping to pay our respects to the RBT (Really Big Tree) en-route.
We will break for lunch back at the canoe ramp around noon, after which we will get back in our boats and proceed north into the huge cypress knees until, you guessed it, it gets inconvenient to keep going any further. Pretty much the same exciting format of lollygagging in the fall colors, taking pictures of each other and birds and animals lollygagging, and then return to the put-in/take-out.
I will be in my very long and heavy Kayak Of Uncertain Color (KOUC).
