In recognition of her years of conservation work, Audubon Texas recently presented its 2018 Terry Hershey Award to HCC member Linda Shead. Other recipients of this year’s Terry Hershey Award were Claire Caudill (Memorial Park Conservancy) and Maxine Johnston (Big Thicket National Preserve).

There is more about the award at Texas Women in Conservation, and the reasons for Linda’s selection at 2018 Terry Hershey Award Honorees. This is a richly-deserved honor for Linda, and it is very good for our paddling/conservation community.
