The Clear Creek Watershed Partnership will meet on Friday July 15. To address stakeholders’ differing schedules, there will be two sessions that will cover the same material.
1:30 – Hybrid meeting in Pearland (Pearland Library, Tom Reid Building, 3522 Liberty Drive) and by Zoom
5:30 – “Catch Up” meeting for those who could not attend at 1:30, only by Zoom
Details and registration are available at https://clearcreekpartnership.weebly.com.
Background data have been gathered and preliminary modeling is complete. Now, input from paddlers and other interested stakeholders is needed to shape efforts designed to improve water quality in Clear Creek.
The resulting Watershed Protection Plan will provide a roadmap for future action, a point of coordination for local decision-makers, and an avenue for attracting additional funding to support local efforts. Key issues include Bacteria, Excess Nutrients, Low Dissolved Oxygen, Sediment, Flooding, Trash/Dumping, and Habitat Loss.
