Dear All,
Come out and paddle this weekend! Join us on Saturday 4/16 for an old favorite trip we haven't done for a while....The Hugo Point/Shell Midden Loop! Experience the Cotton Bayou Marsh Maze, cut across 1.25 miles of North Trinity Bay shoreline, have lunch at an iconic, ancient shell midden. Then return via a different route through the Marsh Maze, ending up (hopefully) back at Hugo Point. Total about 10 miles. LeveI II Moderately strenuous.
This is a fun paddle but is weather dependent given the open bay exposure. So for max enjoyment and safety, we will hope for calm winds. If we don't get them, more protected venues like Champion Lake or Turtle Bayou will be great backup choices!
