The Association of State Wetland Managers is a national organization dedicated to the protection and restoration of wetlands. Recently, they asked their members to submit photos to help celebrate the month of May as American Wetlands Month. Now, a photo of hibiscus plants in bloom at Lake Charlotte is featured front and center in their May/June newsletter. It is wonderful to see that the beauty of what many of us tend to think of mostly as a local attraction is also being appreciated by a national audience.
