HCC Conservation Forum

After a little more than a year and a half of work by the Cypress Creek Watershed Partnership and its workgroups, the final draft of the Cypress Creek Watershed Protection Plan will be published soon. The draft version is available at https://cypresspartnership.weebly.com/ , and the final version will be posted there soon.  

The next meeting of the Cypress Creek Watershed Partnership will be held online at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 5, 2020.

Over the course of the past year, the Partnership has identified water quality issues, used computer models to help understand their relative significance, and come up with potential solutions to the creek’s water quality problems. Now it is time to discuss these proposed solutions and to consider draft sections of the document that will guide their implementation: the Cypress Creek Watershed Protection Plan.

This posting is the update that was referred to in Conservation Committee’s report during the July 8 monthly meeting.  

The Cypress Creek Watershed Partnership has been hard at work for almost a year now. A great deal of water quality data has been assembled and analyzed, modeling of future trends has been done, and feasible solutions are now being identified. Still, there is time for you to provide input. The date of the next meeting has not been set yet, but it should be coming up fairly soon. Please check for new postings to this thread on the HCC Conservation Forum.
