Chesapeake Light Craft Yarre Touring Kayak

This is a kit boat, built several years ago and has seen little
use. The kayak is 16' long X 24" wide and the bare hull weighs about 30 lbs.
Completely hand built of marine mahogany plywood with visible mahogany deck nd
gel-coated bottom. Includes adjustible foot controlled rudder, front and rear
hatches, bungee cord deck lines, front and rear bulkheads, CKS suspender type
spray skirt and also traveling cockpit cover skirt. This boat is good
for someone up to about 6'2" and 190 lbs or so if they are good paddlers, but
probably better for smaller paddlers. This is a nimble and fast boat and is
great for rivers, lakes and bays for a day tripper or light overnight. I put
it on Houston Craigslist as a touring/sea kayak under sporting goods and there
are four photos there. Email for a few more or to ask any questions that you

This is a great solo white water boat that is enclosed like a kayak. It's a
great way to have the advantages of a canoe ( on your knees and with one blade
paddles) but the convenience of a kayak (you don't get wet in big water and you
can roll it) I am selling the C1 for $250 and the spray skirt (which fits
both the C1 and a kayak larger opening) for $100. |
