HCC Oct. 8th 2025 - Gen Meeting

Lots of soft gear items were donated to our club by a retired HCC member : Rennie Sheffield from Beorne, TX.

 

16 participants in all joined the meeting 

 

Officers Present : Christy, Bruce, Brent, Tyrone, Dutch.

 

Last meeting minutes approved for September which were thankfully recorded by Frank Ort. while recorder Dutch was away paddling Lake Powell. Also Purser Tracy and newsletter editor Harmon are absent this evening.

 

Bill O’Reilly joined us along with two new visitors :  a Father and daughter. 

 

Members present were 16 individuals including : Sue Eda, Alice N., John and Cindy B., Dennis P., Joe C., Constantine and tonights presentation guests Joanie and Jeff.

Tyrones Report - One new member from Arkansas, 8 renewing members this month, with 127 active members.

 

Dutch delivered the Pursers report in behalf of Tracy who is absent.

 

No newsletter info for the month since Harmon is away.

Christy discusses the Fleet Captains report on recent paddles.  41  trips , 60 participants and a total combined miles of 2203.14

 

Future trips on the event calendar are 3 items : Greens Bayou (11th), ACA Level 3 River Rescue Training (18th),  Paddle Nassau Bay (25th) for October. 

 

Brent and Jessica are hosting our 2025 Christmas Party Dec. 6th at their home and participants are limited to 40. Registration required. See event details for food suggestions. 

 

Constantine talks about a family and friends recent trip to Arkansas.

Accepting HCC Officer Nominations for 2026 for 7 positions.
