Florida Springs Trip
Florida's crystal clear springs and the lovely manatees in them are sometimes welcomed redirections for us kayakers or canoers. Because when we talk about paddle trips in Florida, often it is the wild Everglades, the barbaric crocs/alligators or the sickly Burmese Pythons often come to mind first. At least that is the case for me. So that is comforting. Last December, Houston Canoe Club orchestrated an wildly successful out-of-state multi-day paddle/camping trip specifically to some of those serene springs! This month, let's hear their story, told by one of our beloved paddle trip leaders Joe Coker.
