Around 5:30 Ray, our Mariott representative, arrived with Hot Wings, chicken quesadilla, guacamole, and all the fixins. Alice Nissen provided four types of cookies; they were all delicious. Four people were still on the water, but we could not wait. We all had a plate but made sure our paddling friends had plenty once they returned.

The group ate and talked some more. Several ideas were discussed on how to get more club trips. The Donna-Grimes-Method was brought up and all thought is was a good way to get trips on the calendar.

The patio of the Mariott is very comfortable. It is shady and breezy. We launched right off the banks of the hotel. Another good point about the event was that there were no flies or insects of any kind.

The paddlers returned, cleaned up, filled their plates, and joined the conversation. We talked about upcoming events and past trip we would like to repeat.

The party started winding down about 8 o'clock. The last of us left the parking lot a 8:30.

We hope to see all at the next social in December.
