Not a member of any organized religion.
Experiencing the Creator’s work during time on the water is the “best” religion there is.
Any decent spiritual leader may only use words to describe our gifts; we on the water, experience grace, appreciation, redemption, and awe.
We silently give thanks for among other things, the natural world, inspiration, and our fellow beings.
We who paddle, are among the best stewards of nature, we preserve what we love and care for others.
Is that not the point of religion: care, awe, and tradition?
Not violence, proselytizing or punishment?
Perhaps, you do not need any organized religion either.
Perhaps, spending some time in awe of all the gifts this world provides may inspire you.
