Terry’s brother came down from Kansas for New Year’s Day. He wanted to go kayaking.
We first thought of paddling in San Marcos on New Year’s Day. But he mentioned he also wanted to see some alligators. That immediately suggested Sheldon Reservoir. That would also minimize the logistics of trying to coordinate his trip, camping at San Marcos, and transporting everything for a couple of days.
So, a day at Sheldon Reservoir was arranged, and the boats loaded on the truck to start the day early. New Year’s Day dawned bright and Sunny.
But the boats were on the truck, and Andrew was in town, and we went anyway. The views were stunning.
Terry and Andrew starting out.
We got lost sometimes. It was hard to tell which direction was which.
But pretty awesome, nonetheless.
And as the fog was lifting, and we were headed back to the ramp and the truck, we saw some alligators.
Once the fog lifted enough to allow us to actually find the ramp and the truck.
Starting the year right. See you On the Water!
