Howdy.

I have had the privilege and honor of being the Houston Canoe Club Newsletter Editor for 12 years now.  And I am proud to say that I've published the monthly issue on-time for every single month during that time.  Despite computer crashes, hurricanes and other obstacles.  For example, when my computer died, Joe Coker quickly stepped in and offered up a spare computer he had, to allow me to continue my production efforts.  Several times the computers at the public library have been used. 

Of course, a newsletter requires articles and trip reports, and those come from our membership.  So, none of the newsletters would have been possible without the input and effort of the contributing members. They all deserve a big thanks for their support.

But after 12 years, I've grown weary of the monthly effort, and I wish to devote more of my time to other personal projects that need my attention.  So, it's time for me to step down from this job, and allow a fresh face with fresh ideas to assume command.  I hereby resign my position as Newsletter Editor.  Thank you for your support over all those years.  And please give the same to whomever assumes this role after me.

I will continue to be a member of the club, and I hope to see all of you at Club meetings and out on the water.
