"TPWD seeks public input on proposed passive fishing regulations" (Texas)
"The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department is asking for public comment on proposed regulations that would modify language and streamline the process of cleaning up abandoned passive fishing gear. The proposals for passive fishing gear, as defined by trotlines, juglines, throwlines... The aim is solely to cut down on derelict lines, which are not only harmful to fish, but to birds and other wildlife as well.
