ACA National Paddlesports Awards Announced
Bruce Bodson of Missouri City, Texas has just been announced as a 2016 recipient of the prestigious ACA Joe Pina Volunteer of the Year Award.
Each year, the ACA recognizes a select group of individuals and organizations who have illustrated exemplary leadership, service, and dedication to various aspects of paddlesport. The Volunteer of the Year Award is presented to one or more volunteers each year for extraordinary service at the local or regional level.

Founded in 1880, The American Canoe Association (ACA) is a national nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization serving the broader paddling public by providing education related to all aspects of paddling; stewardship support to help protect paddling environments; and sanctioning of programs and events to promote paddlesport competition, exploration and recreation. The ACA has over 30,000 members, and 300 paddling clubs and affiliated organizations. The ACA sponsors over 4,300 events each year, including 200 races.
