The Commodore called the meeting to order, and introduced the club officers. The Fleet Captain was absent. The Commodore mentioned the pre- and post-meeting dinners.

The Commodore Emeritus spoke on changes in the Club America website structure, and noted that the club needed to make some minor changes to it’s website as a result.

The Commodore called for volunteers to host pre-meeting dinners, and to make suggestions of restaurants where we might meet.

The Newsletter Editor showed how to access the archive of old club newsletters (40 years) and mileage logs (11 years) that he has uploaded to the website.

The Purser gave the club financial report, showing that we were a bit ahead of our budget for the year.

The Boatswain gave the membership report. Kent Walters introduced his wife, a first-time visitor.

The Commodore then asked for announcements of future trips:

- May 28-30; Sabine River; Philip Matticks
It was announced that the Kemah Triathlon needs safety boaters on April 24th.
