New Club History Section
February 2015
by John Rich
Ladies and gentlemen, I am pleased to announce the creation of a new Club History section to our web site. You can find the link at the bottom of the index column on the left side of the home page, as shown below with the red arrow.

This addition came about from the need to have a visible and easy means to see the well-researched list of past club offices that Cindy Bartos created for the 50th Anniversary celebration. Our web-master Greg Walker tried to add it to the "Officers" section, but web host software limitations weren't allowing that to be done cleanly. So Greg came up with this elegant solution, and has primed the History page with the list of past club officers, the 30th and 40th Anniversary commemorative newsletters, and an article on club history from 1964-77.
And there are still more history goodies that can be categorized in that section also. I'm thinking of other things as I type this! We've had articles on club history now and then, but they tend to fade away over time in monthly newsletter editions and are difficult to re-locate when you want them. This new section will provide a link for immediate access to those past articles, without having to dig through dozens of old newsletters.
Check it out and see what Greg has done. And if you think of anything else that belongs there, let me know and I'll get it added to the Club History web page.
Thanks, Greg!
