7:07 - The Commodore called the meeting to order. The new officers for 2015 were introduced, as well as the returning officers.
7:13 - The Commodore gave the Safety Minute, concerning prevention of hypothermia. He described his own experiences, and there was a discussion of the symptoms of incipient hypothermia, as well as ways to avoid it. Like, don't paddle wet in the winter.

7:23 - The Purser gave the final financial report for 2014. The Vice-commodore suggested that the funds from recent silent auctions be apportioned among the organizations which were regular recipients of club donations. The suggestion was approved by the membership.
7:32 - The Bosun introduced new members Deborah and Raymond Chenault, Fran Wilcox, Rick Ericson, David and Mary Surbrook. David Portz and Matt Woodruff introduced themselves. The Recorder apologizes for any mis-spellngs.

7:37 - The Fleet Captain called for trip reports, which were duly reported. Upcoming trips were announced, as was the annual San Marcos River clean-up on March 7th. He stated that 100 Miler Awards would be ready for the February meeting.
8:00 - The Vice-commodore introduced the speaker for the evening, Karla Klay of Artist Boat. Ms. Klay spoke of her organization's efforts in preservation of coastal margin and marine habitats, and using art as a means for getting young people involved in conservation.

8:43 - The Commodore introduced a visitor, who had wandered in while looking for another meeting. The Bosun tried to enlist him, anyway.
8:44 - The Commodore announced the addition of a "Club History" page to the club website. He then closed the meeting, and went for some "Macho Nachos" at Jax's.
