NL-2012-11 Armand Bayou
Armand Bayou Watershed Partnership
Nov. 13th, 2012
by Natalie Wiest
Meeting Announcment
Perhaps not all of us who were dipping paddles in the water Saturday evening, October 27th, were aware that the water quality of Armand Bayou does not meet current clean water standards. I represent HCC on the
Armand Bayou Watershed Partnership
(ABWP), and an aim of ABWP is to work toward getting that changed. An informational meeting on how that will be done is being held Tuesday evening, November 13, 2012 at the Bay Area Community Center, Clear Lake Park (5002 East NASA Parkway). The meeting starts at 6 and goes to 8 with presentations by Harris County Precinct 2 Commissioner Jack Morman; Tim Tietjens of Armand Bayou Watershed Partnership; Ron Stein, Texas Commission on Environmental Quality; Rober Miranda, Texas Commission on Environmental Quality; and Aubin Phillips, Houst-Galveston Area Council. This is not a public input kind of meeting, but describes the problem, the process, and potential mechanisms. ABWP would very much like to have involvement of those of us who live, work, and play in the watershed to help improve it. Come to the meeting and learn how you can become involved.
