About this event

This is the bumpiest section of the Brazos below Hempstead and a fun section to run. There are four small rapids and a couple of riffles in this one to keep you on your toes, including the infamous Killer Fang. All of these are class 1 to 2 and definitely not major hazards.

The distance on the stretch is 23.8 miles. The put in and take out are both a bit steep, with the take out being a challenge at times.

We will meet at FM 1093 and the river at 0800 and shuttle up to the put in.
