About this event
A paddle of between 12 and 17 miles, depending on ambition, not routing. This paddle is roughly the route of the San Jacinto Wilderness CBC. It uses Caney Creek Canoe Launch (actually on Peach Creek) as both put in and take out. The launch/landing is pretty gentle and there are no known hazards on the route, other than the occasional inconsiderate motor boater coming from Lake Houston.
We will meet at 0800 to launch- no shuttle required. Note that there is a $3.00 entry fee for non-geezers to enter the park. Let me know by email if you plan to attend!
