About this event
This trip is part of the Trinity River Christmas Bird Count, which encompasses a good portion of Trinity River NWR. Our group will be focusing on that portion of the refuge's Brierwood Unit taken up by Gaylor Lake - a GORGEOUS natural oxbow of the Trinity, lined in part with enormous, entish-looking Baldcypress!
- Our crew will rendezvous at Dickey’s BBQ Pit (see link above) at 7am, then caravan to our put-in spot, located below the 105 bridge over the lake. This will be a there-and-back excursion; car shuttling will not be necessary.
