About this event
Surely our long hot summer will give way to more seasonal temperatures and excellent paddling conditions. If there is any fall color in our area, it is frequently provided by the cypress trees lining Old River. To check it out, we will put in from the frequently muddy putin along Hwy 1409 near the village of Old River. Our route will be very similar to the trip of May 2022 as reported in the HCC Waterline newsletter: https://thcc.clubexpress.com/content.aspx?page_id=22&club_id=496051&module_id=524953 This is an out and back paddle approximately 4-6 miles round trip at a slow pace.
