About this event
This trip was timed to take advantage of anticipated autumn color and autumn rains. It looks like the rains are not happening this year, so I have shifted plans from the Buffalo River to the more reliable spring-fed Current River. We will paddle from Cedargrove access to Two Rivers - about 43.5 miles.
Weather is the main factor at this time of year. It could be really cold or pretty mild. It could rain the whole week, or not at all, or anything in between. At this moment (Oct 13) we are seeing lows in the high 30s and highs in the mid 70s, but forecast accuracy is pretty low, so be a Boy Scout.
We will meet at the Dairy Shack,18603 Main St, in Eminence, MO at 4:00 PM on Sunday, Oct 20. This adds about an hour and a half to the original Buffalo River travel time, so please plan your departure time accordingly.
