The Trinity River Christmas Bird Count is one of the most entertaining of the paddling counts. It is approximately 19.5 miles of main stem Trinity River, from FM 787 near Romayor to SH 105, east of Cleveland. This is one of the counts where the paddling group traditionally makes a real contribution to the total. Though 19.5 miles, this is an easy trip, with a nice push from the river, and lots to see. Much of the route goes through units of Trinity River NWR.
