About this event
We'll meet at high noon at the Ouachita River WhiteWater Park take-out, shuffle boats and prep at the put-in for an on-the-water time of about 12:45-1:00 to coincide with the dam release.
HAZARDS:
Pushy water
Rocks - lots of rocks
Others are the usual wasps, cottonmouths, copperheads, sweepers, strainers and drowning
BRING:
Kayak, paddle, PFD
Also recommended are:
Lunch/snack/water
Sun protection (long-sleeved shirt, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, gloves, etc.)
Helmet
NOTE: Fiberglass and carbon fiber kayaks are not recommended for this trip
