Saturday April 25- Meet at 0800 at Brazoria County San Luis Pass Park
Greetings!
This is another opportunity to provide a bit of public service to the Galveston Bay estuary. Christmas Bay is the first Texas Coastal Preserve and as part of that preserve contains a 19.1-mile coastal paddling trail. https://tpwd.texas.gov/boating/paddling-trails/gulf-coast/christmas-bay/
Due to age and weathering, it is time to replace the signs and navigation markers on the entire trail. The Christmas Bay Foundation, Brazoria County Parks Department and Texas Parks and Wildlife Department plan to do that chore during the Earth Day weekend. Most of this will be done from power boats with water pumps to jet in new PVC where required and replace the signs. If you'd like to volunteer, it will be another nice day on the bay helping on a worthwhile project. There may even be some paddling!
Email me if you are interested in attending. In order to get the entire thing done on Saturday, there will be several boats and team out there!
