When: Wednesday November 12 at 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Where: United Way of Greater Houston, 50 Waugh Drive, Houston
This fall’s Confluence: Where Ideas and Practice Meet returns with the theme The Space Between: Designing Corridors for Connection and Purpose, exploring the powerful intersections of mobility, ecology, and equity.
As cities face increasing challenges related to climate, infrastructure, and public health, the Symposium will examine how utility corridors, greenways, trails, and easements can transform beyond their traditional roles, becoming dynamic, multi-purpose community assets.
From walkability and transit access to stormwater management and native habitat restoration, this theme reimagines linear landscapes as resilient systems that connect people, places, and ecosystems.
Join urban planners, designers, engineers, ecologists, and civic leaders as we explore how green corridors and public lands promote healthier, more connected, and equitable cities.
