Help clean up Armand Bayou, one of our favorite local paddling spots! You can sign up for participation as a paddler through the Events Calendar at www.houstoncanoeclub.org. Meeting time for paddlers is 8:00 AM at the Bay Area Park boat ramp. Contact person for the paddling group is Tom Douglas.
General information about Trash Bash, including driving directions to Bay Area Park and the required Trash Bash waiver form, is posted at www.trashbash.org. To save a few minutes at the boat ramp’s sign-in table, you can download the Trash Bash waiver form, print it, fill it in, and bring it with you.
You will need to bring boat(s), paddle(s), PFD(s), and closed toe shoes. Gloves are recommended. If you have a grabber implement or something like a small rake that will let you reach up onto the bank, that would help, too. Garbage bags will be provided.
Rental canoes can be made available on-site the day of the cleanup through advance reservation, by March 26, at www.oakgeosciences.com.
