Texas General Land Office’s Water Resources Manager, Jason Pinchback, will give an overview of the GLO’s efforts to understand beach contact recreation water quality and attempts to reduce beach bacteria and advisories. He will highlight research findings, influencing factors, hydraulic connectivity, and current and upcoming initiatives.
In part two, Dr. Mike Wetz of the Harte Research Institute for Gulf of Mexico Studies at TAMU-Corpus Christi and Ms. Charriss York of Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service’s Texas Community Watershed Partners will discuss Clean Coast Texas’ new initiatives, partnerships, and other actions being pursued in 2025 and beyond to protect and enhance Texas coastal water quality.
