The US Army Corps of Engineers is revising the Master Plan for Addicks and Barker Reservoirs. The Master Plan is intended to serve as a comprehensive land and recreational management plan with a life span of 25 years. It guides the stewardship of natural and cultural resources and the provision of outdoor recreation facilities and opportunities to ensure sustainability of federal land associated with the two reservoirs. Releases from the Addicks and Barker Reservoirs, which do not maintain permanent pools, flow down Buffalo Bayou through the City of Houston.
The purpose of the open house is to provide information and receive public input to begin the process of revising the 2009 Master Plan. The public open house will initiate a 30-day comment period to review the existing Master Plan and to provide comments.
