Natalie - Linda was an experienced whitewater kayaker. I had trips with her on Barton Creek and the Arkansas River in Colorado. I remember her telling me about her trip down the Grand Canyon. What stuck in my mind was her telling me about the big water and how it was a mental challenge more than a skill one. When I did the Grand I found out what she meant. She was fun to travel with and I will miss her. John Ohrt

I am saddened to share with you the news of the passing of Linda Day. She has not been able to paddle for some time, but has joined me for several paddles in the past and with the club on at least a Pecos trip and several more.

Her passing on Thursday, June 6 was most unexpected. I will share more information as it becomes available. Her son Chris Colthart is en route from California.
