About this event
OK, guys, let's get those creative juices flowing and come up with ideas for SAILING your canoe or kayak. We'll put in at the south end of Lake Anahuac and sail downwind (hoping for prevailing southerlies) to White Park on Turtle Bayou for a takeout. Sails do not have to be fancy - an umbrella can work, or any kind of bed sheet made into a sail. This is just for fun, not a race. You will need to have an up to date Houston Canoe Club waiver in place, or you can sign one at the putin. In addition to that, you need to have an American Canoe Association (ACA) membership, and supply me with that number, or pay a $10 event fee. If you are an ACA member, no additional charge. If you really prefer just paddling, you can do that too, let's have some fun on the lake.
