This is a 22.5 mile paddle on the Brazos River.  This section contains some of the last rapids on the river, excellent fossil hunting, and a number of freshwater mussel species.  The current is pretty good, and there are quite a number of interesting sand bars to stop on.  The rapids are entertaining, but not dangerous.

Skill Level:  Novice.  Generally flat water,.  The rapids are in the first couple of miles and are class 1 to soft class 2 water.  Interesting, but not dangerous.
