San Marcos River Cleanup
About this event
On Saturday, March 7, join paddlers from all over Texas in the longest single day river cleanup in the state –
picking up trash along 60-90 miles of the San Marcos River. From just downstream of
San Marcos down to Gonzales, canoeists, kayakers and rafters will be cleaning up the river
and its banks.
There are several sections, and I will participate in Section 2, from San Marcos River Retreat
to Sculls Crossing.
If you are an HCC member and participate in another Section, let me know your mileage, and Section, and I will
add you to my participation list.
We will camp Friday and Saturday nights. The HCC site will hold about six tents,
so be sure to register here if you want to tent camp with the club.
Camping is free for Friday and Saturday. An evening meal is provided on Saturday. after the cleanup. It is a great way to meet paddlers
from other parts of the Texas.
I must turn in participants by March 4, for meal. So be sure to register on the HCC event calendar by noon March 4.
