Octpaddlefest

This Fall will be the 20th Anniversary of us paddling,camping and Dutch Oven cooking. It was the idea of belated Rudy Rivers and myself to continue going back to Huntsville State Park to paddle the Lake Raven and being with our paddling friends.With the new reservation system of the Texas State Parks I did obtain 3 camping sites by the waters edge to launch our boats and pitch tents. Yet these sites are filling up fast, due to RSVP. Paul has one for the HCC if any members wish to participate. Please contact him at Paul Woodcock 713 594 9969. More information will follow as we plan this event. Yes, there will be Pot Luck Meal on Saturday Night after a afternoon cooking of Dutch Oven Treats.
I will be in site 49 as my camping,sign in and information . As most of you are aware I am completely handicapped, yet can still,paddle a canoe, and camp with my RV. I have Muscular Dystrophy and Severe Rheumatoid Arthritis. With my walker and scooter I can still participate in the Great Outdoors .Hope to see you this Fall.

Houston Canoe Club members must have an up to date Waiver on file, or print one from the website and bring it, signed, to the putin. Members must also have an American Canoe Association up to date membership. Non-HCC members are welcome, must sign a waiver and pay a $5 fee also if they are not card carrying American Canoe Association members. Non-HCC members who are American Canoe Association members are welcome to join on the paddle, must bring your card and sign the HCC waiver. Thank you for your compliance.
