What is this?
I have not done this paddle in several years, time to get reacquainted with this short (approx. 4 mile) stretch of Oyster Creek. The putin is from Stratton Ridge Road near Clute; and takeout is at Oyster Creek Park near the town of Oyster Creek. We will need to monitor the weather forecast but so far looks like we will miss the rain forecast for later in the day and Sunday. There is a modest current and no known obstructions. There will be some wind and this stretch is fairly exposed. What I enjoy about it is the large live oak forest that lines at least one side of the stream. Detailed map and instructions to follow to folks who register for this short trip.
