The "Moose Antlers" of DeGray Lake

I'm wanting to see for myself what the scenery is like on DeGray Lake from Point Cedar to the uppermost coves in the Shouse Ford area (the "Moose Antlers") and the Simonson Biological Field Station (Henderson State University - at the top of the head of "the Moose") - maybe do some hiking on their trails and have lunch - then back to where we started, going around the islands we didn't go around before.

This trip serves a double purpose - both a regular low-impact and fun trip, and a scouting trip for a potential series of lake and river paddles for the HCC to participate in sometime next year.

About 5-6 miles (estimate)
A little chilly - Start paddling at 44 degrees F, warming up to 58 degrees F
Mostly sunny (bring a hat and other sun protection)
Bring drinks and a lunch or snack
Wear or bring sturdy shoes for our potential hike
As always, PFD must be properly fitted and worn on the water
