The conclusion of the preview of the LR 50 race course. This stretch is roughly 15.5 miles long. Put in will be at Dead Pig (Old River and FM 1409) and take out will be at Cedar Hill Park. The route will be Old River to the Cutoff, the Cutoff to the Trinity, The Trinity to the Sulfur Cut/Mack Bayou, Mack Bayou to Lake Charlotte and then across the lake to Cedar Hill Park.<br /><br />There will be a few obstructions/logjams in the Cutoff, but otherwise it will be pretty easy going. It is likely that we will be paddling against the current in the Cutoff. <br /><br />Meet up will be at Cedar Hill Park at about 0730. Like the previous sections, this is to be done at touring pace to learn the route, not at race pace.
