HEAR YE, HEAR YE!
CALLING ALL PARROTHEADS:

Meet at the Lakes Edge Boathouse at 6:00 pm – from Lake Front Cir, turn into Whole Foods parking lot, proceed along drive right in front of the store, and when you get to Hughes Landing Blvd., make a left in front of the building you're about to run into and make an immediate right. Go between the buildings to the turnaround at the end - unload boat and gear, park in Whole Foods parking lot and return to prep and launch at 6:30.

We will paddle north-northeast to the incoming left fork and proceed up the fork as far as possible. Return and overshoot the channel, circumnavigate the little island (depending on the time, we may go visit the dragon), and then turn right at the channel to go to the Riva Row Boat House lagoon. Enjoy Jimmy Buffet, with snacks.

And what might we hear that would be recognizable? Certainly we'll hear It's Five O'Clock Somewhere, If the Phone Doesn't Ring, It's Me, Don''t Chu Know, Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes, Margaritaville, Barometer Soup, Ballad of Skip Wiley, Far Side of the World, and maybe even my personal favorite, The Bob Robert's Society Band,

After all of that sonic reminiscing, we will return to base.

Probably between 3-6 miles of paddling.

Bring a light - preferably a white one that can be seen from any direction (that makes it legal).

Bring the usual stuff: kayak or canoe, paddle, PFD, snack and water.

Bring an oversized cotton shirt to put over your PFD - test the evaporation theory.
