The San Jacinto Wilderness CBC- one of our traditional CBCs for paddling. This is an out and back trip with no shuttle required. We will launch at Caney Creek Canoe Launch, which is actually on Peach Creek in Lake Houston Park, paddle down to Caney Creek and then to the East Fork of the San Jacinto River. We will do a bit of up channel [addling to bird along Peach and Caney, and quite a bit of exploring in the cypress sloughs along Caney and the East Fork. This is usually a very productive count for the boat crew. Distance is usually about 15 miles.
