Where:
Meet at FM 1096 and the San Bernard at 0700, and shuttle back up to Bates Allen Park to launch.

A new paddling bird count! Roughly 13.5 miles on the San Bernard, below Bates Allen Park. This section of the river is seldom paddled and I suspect that 13.5 miles is going to be all we can handle, but it will be on some of the most beautiful, remote and birdy cypress swamp and bottomland hardwoods in the area. We will start from Bates Allen as early as feasible and take out where FM 1096 dead ends into the San Bernard.
