Event Calendar - Event View

This is my answer to Bruce's CBC (Christmas Bird Count) - an FAC (Fall Alligator Count).

Easy out-and-back from Bay Area Park heading south on Armand Bayou to get to our survey area in Horse Pen Bayou.  We'll observe the birds along the way, and, of course, the alligators.  I will not be getting out the tape measure, so don't worry.  We will practice plenty of social distancing between us and the gators. 

There will be a full-stop, in-the-boat break around noon to compare notes and eat lunch.  On the way back, we'll check out the kayak ramp at the Armand Bayou Nature Center. 

This fair-weather paddle should add somewhere between 5 and 7 miles to the odometer.

I'll be bringing a hat, sunglasses, sun protection, PFD, paddle, my short kayak, a camera and lunch.
